From Brick & Mortar to Back Home & Studio: A Small Business Update from My Heart
Hello lovely people,
I want to start this post with a warm thank you—to every single one of you who has supported me, followed my journey, or simply lit one of my candles and smiled. 💗
Running a small business is never a straight road—and lately, mine has taken a few unexpected turns. Earlier this year, I made the very difficult decision to close the doors of my little physical shop. It was a space I poured my heart into, but when life shifts, sometimes we have to shift with it.
What made it even tougher was losing my business partner—suddenly, and without much warning. It was painful, and if I’m honest, it knocked me for a while. But as with melted wax, we reshape, don’t we?
Now, I’m back to where it all began: working from home & my studio, surrounded by the chaos of scented oils, jars, wicks… and of course, the laughter (and mess!) of my two beautiful kids. Between being a full-time mum, a wife, and a maker—there just aren’t enough hours in the day. But even on the hardest days, I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything.
Because the truth is: I love this. I love getting creative. I love hand-pouring each candle with care. I love the ritual of blending a new wax melt scent or testing a dreamy diffuser oil. And let’s be real—my handmade jar candles? They’re my absolute favourite to create. There’s something magical about seeing them come together from start to finish.
So what’s next?
🌸 The online shop is officially back in full swing, with all your favourite home fragrance goodies ready to ship.
✨ I’m also working behind the scenes to diversify into drinkware and stationery—because who doesn’t love a cute notepad or a fun tumbler with personality?
🍂 And yes… Autumn and Christmas are already in the planning stage (the scent testing is in full swing and it smells AMAZING in here).
More than anything, I just wanted to share where I’m at—and to remind you that when you buy from a small business, you’re supporting real life, real love, and real dreams.
